Like any other electronic device, eufySecurity devices release heat when they are in working mode, such as streaming audio, recording movements and sending push notifications.

Moreover, cameras and doorbells will produce heat when they are being powered. We have provided four tips shown below to protect your camera or doorbell from overheating.

1. Be conscious of the working temperature.

The camera or doorbell should work from -4°F to 122°F (-20°C - 50°C).

2. Do not expose the camera or doorbell to direct sunlight.

Place it under a shade or mount the camera or doorbell under an eave to keep it cool.

3. Place it in a ventilated place

If the camera or doorbell has been mounted into a box, please make sure air can flow freely.

4. Don't place clothes or other materials to hide the camera or doorbell.
