The number of side brushes on a RoboVac is generally based on the vacuum’s navigation technology, and it is a common misconception that having dual side brushes will allow the RoboVac to have a better cleaning performance.
For example, eufy RoboVac models designed using Bounce navigation are often equipped with dual side brushes mainly because they clean in a randomized pattern by utilizing infrared sensors as the vacuum cleans in a back-and-forth straight-line pattern, and it will automatically change directions when it encounters obstacles. Therefore, by having dual side brushes, the Bounce series RoboVac models are able to thoroughly clean edges of the walls regardless of which direction the vacuum approaches the walls.
Through extensive testing, we found that by adjusting the side brush speed, we could ensure cleaning performance with just a single side brush. Based on this, we have reduced one side brush on eufy RoboVac models designed using Bounce navigation, which reduces the maintenance cost for users. So if you notice that your old vacuum had two side brushes, but your new one only has one, don't worry, this is due to our improved side brush design.

On the other hand, eufy RoboVac models designed using either Dynamic or iPath navigation are often equipped with single side brush mainly(except for G10 Hybrid and L35/LR30/LR20 series) because they clean in a set pattern by utilizing smart sensors as the vacuum is able to determine its cleaning route, and the vacuum will automatically approach the walls to clean edges of the walls with the side brush facing the correct direction to achieve optimal cleaning performance.
